As a child I drew constantly, but eventually lost touch with it among the rigours of corporate life. Since moving out of the corporate world I’ve been reconnecting with that part of myself and finding it a well needed act of self-love. <3
Created pieces as a form of expression, to work through life/emotional challenges.
Able to paint digitally, but prefer Acryla Gouache for personal work as a separation from screen time & out of love for the vibrancy of the paint colours.
Started learning to paint by studying from Sibylline Meynet and practising her use of colour, light, and texture.
Continue to practise ‘daily doodle’ ritual of a 5-10 minute pen drawing each day - usually quick studies from references (often of my cats or my brother’s dogs!).

Elmo On Fire (2023). My favourite meme.
Defiance (2021). Designed in Illustrator, painted in POSCA markers. Petunias symbolise anger and resentment. They mean: 'I am furious'. They also symbolise desire and hope.
Subtlety (2023). An exercise in using subtler colours than my usual, and my first try at underpainting.
King (2022). Inspired by the Florence + The Machine song - "I am no mother, I am no bride, I am King."
A Friend (2023). He's just a lil guy I saw on a walk. <3
Pathways (2021). A piece about transformation & new beginnings. Painted in POSCA markers.
