When Spark (one of New Zealand’s biggest Telcos) launched the first Apple Watch that could be used sans Smartphone, they faced an interesting challenge: how do you sell people on the benefit of a product best used out of home, during a lockdown?

Paired with a first of its kind deal for Apple Watch in New Zealand, we found the answer.

  • Copywrote clever headline that tied in with the both the offer and customers’ desire to connect with each other during lockdown.

  • Art directed Youtube Bumper ad to be animated by in-house team, and created digital and print marketing graphics that integrated supplied Apple brand assets with Spark brand.

  • Successfully balanced each brand’s tight brand guidelines, resulting in the first time Apple had ever approved a completely custom animation by Spark.
