Koia Game Jam sought to explore the disunity and differing perspectives of today’s world. I participated as a solo dev to create a silly prisoner’s dilemma simulator, “Backstab Bakeoff”, in just 48 hours. I’d love to come back to this at some stage to animate the UI and flesh out the dialogue further. Click here to play it! (Best played on desktop)
Planned out the full game loop and variables I would need to set up in Miro to ensure smooth production.
Using Yarn Spinner and C#, programmed the entire game loop.
Wrote all of the dialogue, including 5 different endings based on your choices in-game.
Designed & implemented the logo and UI.
Illustrated the ingredient icons (a half hour mad dash!).
Submitted a full, bug-free game, on time, on my own, and slept 8 hours every night - on my very first game jam!
